SIJ Acroni successfully resumed production at its Hot Rolling Mill in October, following a significant failure in the rolling frame's main engine, commonly referred to as "blooming." Employees have already returned to work, and SIJ Acroni ensured the preservation of all jobs during this period. The extensive repair work was successfully completed in three months through collaboration with external partners, consistent with the initial estimates.
The significant damage to the main engine of the rolling frame at the Hot Rolling Mill occurred in July, without causing any injuries. Subsequently, SIJ Acroni promptly rallied its efforts to expedite the resumption of production at the Hot Rolling Mill, overcoming the challenges on the solid foundation of past business practices. However, the substantial damage to the rolling mill frame at the Hot Rolling Mill, which temporarily disrupted a significant portion of SIJ Acroni's production, is expected to impact both SIJ Acroni's and SIJ Group's future operations. It is reassuring to know that SIJ Group and SIJ Acroni have appropriate insurance coverage in place to mitigate such risks.
