Ljubljana, 15 February 2019 – AVK issued a decision that the entry of MHP in Perutnina Ptuj is in accordance with the rules on competition.
SIJ Group notifies the public that on Thursday, 14 February, the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency (AVK) adopted a decision to not oppose the concentration of MHP and Perutnina Ptuj and that the concentration is in accordance with the rules on competition. Other competent authorities for competition protection in Austria, Serbia, Macedonia and Romania have given their consent beforehand.
SIJ Group and MHP will now be able to carry out the procedures for completing the transaction, thereby bringing about the strategic ownership of Perutnina Ptuj by MHP – one of the leading international agroindustrial groups in accordance with the contract concluded in November last year.
SIJ Group will continue to regularly inform the public on the progress of the transaction.
