As Slovenia's leading steel manufacturing group, with a presence in more than 70 markets worldwide and a workforce of around 3,500 employees, we are conscious of our economic, environmental, and social responsibilities.
We are committed to global and European climate goals and operate in line with circular economy principles. With our steel and steel products, we are the right partner for facilitating the green transition in Europe.
The SIJ Group's sustainability commitments have been incorporated into our Sustainable Development Strategy up to 2030, which aligns with our business strategy. Our commitments to sustainable operation and development have been further reinforced by our decarbonisation plan.

Sustainability targets
Leading up to the year 2030, we will reduce our carbon emissions by 51% compared to the benchmark year of 2020.
All six SIJ Group companies in Slovenia will be certified under the ISO 45001 standard of occupational health and safety by 2026.

We are pursuing the Paris Agreement climate goals. We will contribute to eight of the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals.
