Announcement of SIJ6 Bonds Repayment (SIJ6) and New Issue of Additional SIJ8 Sustainability Bonds
In accordance with the Rules of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, d.d., Ljubljana, and applicable legislation, SIJ – Slovenska industrija jekla, d.d., Ljubljana (hereinafter referred to as SIJ d.d., the Company, or the Issuer), hereby announces that on 25 November 2024, the Company repaid the principal and accrued interest on the matured SIJ6 bonds, amounting to a total nominal value of EUR 48 million.
Simultaneously, the Issuer completed an additional issuance of bonds under the ticker SIJ8 in a nominal amount of EUR 22.1 million. The additional SIJ8 bonds were issued in uncertificated form on 25 November 2024 and credited to the bondholders' accounts with KDD - Central Securities Clearing Corporation d.o.o., Ljubljana, in accordance with the KDD Operational Rules. This issuance increased the total nominal value of the SIJ8 sustainability bonds with ISIN SI0032104489, originally maturing on 2 November 2026, to EUR 41.1 million. This reaffirms SIJ's investors' confidence in its business model, despite the challenging market conditions faced by the European steel industry.
Due to this additional issuance, on the regulated market of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, d.d., Ljubljana, trading in the existing SIJ8 bonds has been temporarily suspended on 22 November 2024. The Issuer will prepare a prospectus for the admission of the newly issued SIJ8 bonds to trading on the regulated market of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and submit it for approval to the Securities Market Agency. Trading in all issued SIJ8 bonds will resume upon approval of the prospectus.
Nova Ljubljanska banka d.d., Ljubljana, has been appointed by the Issuer to provide professional advising and services, related to the issuance and sale of these bonds.
