high hardness shock-resistant high-speed steel
SIRAPID steel is alloyed with molybdenum and tungsten. It achieves a high hardness with both hot and cold rolling, and at the same time provides wear and shock resistance. The SIRAPID high-speed steel is hardened to 62–67 HRC, and maintains this hardness well even at the temperatures tool steels are used at.
Due to its exceptional properties, SIRAPID steel is used for:
- cutting tools (knives, drill bars, milling cutters, etc.),
- rolls for cold rolling,
- cold-work tools.
In steel production, the use of recycled steel scrap is preferable as it emits significantly fewer carbon emissions. This is the case for the SIRAPID brand production process which is thus cutting off a source of CO2 for the company as a whole.
